Dr. Mohammad Ali Shahbazi
 

Dr. Shahbazi is a co-founder and chief technology officer (CTO) of Capsamedix Oy, where translational 3D-printed tooth adhesive devices are under development for localized drug delivery within the oral cavity. He also holds assistant professorship position at School of Pharmacy, Zanjan University of Medical Sciences, Iran, as well as senior scientist at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Helsinki, Finland. He received his Ph.D. in 2015 from the University of Helsinki, Finland, and has published over 85 original/review articles, 1 book, 6 book chapters, and more than 90 conference presentations. There are several competitive prizes/honors in the portfolio of Dr. Shahbazi, including the best Ph.D. Dissertation Award of the University of Helsinki in 2015, the best Ph.D. thesis in pharmaceutical Sciences in Finland 2015, the prestigious young researcher award of pharmaceutical sciences at 20th Razi Festival (the highest recognition of Iranian scientific community), and laureate of highly prestigious USERN award in 2020, selected among 14000 nominates from all around the world. He is currently serving as editorial board and reviewer of several well-recognized peer-reviewed journals, with h-index of 32 and over 10 years of experience in cancer therapy and tissue regeneration. His current research interest lies in nano-based regenerative hydrogels and microdevices for wound healing, bone repair, and long-term drug delivery.
