Dr. Mehrdad Hamidi
 

Prof. Mehrdad Hamidi received Pharm. D. and Ph.D degrees from Tehran University of medical sciences, Iran, in 1993 and 2000, respectively. He did his postdoctoral fellowships at universities of Alberta and Toronto from 2000 to 2002. He currently is professor of pharmaceutics at school of pharmacy, Zanjan University of Medical Sciences. Being the head of the Faculty of Pharmacy, a member of the Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology Board and  a member of the Strategic Committee of the Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology Network of the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education, as well as the head of the Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology Center are among his honors.
Dr. Hamidi's research efforts focus on the use of nanotechnology in the treatment of brain tumors as well as various neurological diseases. Numerous top scientific articles and  books and the invention of various nanomedicines are among his international  achievements. 
Dr. Hamidi is one of the leading researchers in the field of pharmaceutical nanotechnology in the country and has been ranked as a top scientist  among medical universities across the country and among the top international scientists in the world by the World Scientists Ranking System (ESI).
